Just a few days ago the snow cover was still between 60cm (south slopes) and 80cm (north slopes) in Hetta, and the ice cover of lake Ounasj\u00e4rvi still is around 75cm. Yet, according to the weather forecast tonight is the last night with minus degrees and during daytime the thermometer is expected to rise above 10\u00b0C. Thus the snow might disappear fast now. Considering this forecast today I went for my (most likely) final x-country skiing trip this season.
