After spending about a week on glaciers, my friend and me camped at the blue lake in Tordalen to go for day hikes. One of these hikes brought us up to Jotunfonna. While having good weather conditions to hike up, ever stronger getting fog made us to abort the trip and head back down to the valley.

During our visit to Svalbard, Pyramiden was one of the place that my traveling friends and me were eager to sea. The settlement gives a great example of sustainability challenges to single industry towns. Staying there overnight, we had the chance to see several buildings from the inside. Isfjorden by Boat – Exploring the Landscape and Fauna of Svalbard
This summer I planned to meet and visit some good friends in Svalbard. During my stay I joined two of my friends to a boat trip through Isfjorden and Billefjorden. While our goal was to visit Pyramiden, the boat trip on Isfjorden offered a good chance to explore some of Svalbard’s nature.
