When I said, “Last X-Country Skiing for the Season”, I didn’t mean last skiing trip. Since the polar day started a few days ago I was eager to go for a short skiing trip under the midnight sun. Once again – and with a friend – we decided to ski up to Pyhäkero.

After the relaxing cycling trip two weeks ago, I wanted to once again take my bike and head into the Pöyrisjärvi Wilderness Area. And pretty much as two weeks before the aim was to do some camping and fishing – just this time at lake Retkajärvi.

After my recent one week skiing trip to Porojärvi, it seemed that the weather would allow for yet another short skiing trip in the Enontekiö area. As I haven’t visited Hannukuru during this season, the sunny spring weather suggested that – almost as a tradition – this could be the destination for the season’s last skiing trip. When going there, it appeared reasonable to also take a day to ski up Outtakka and have some fun with downhill skiing as well ..
