In the morning the landscape presented itself covered in about 10 to 15 cm of snow, after it was snowing most of the night.

Boat Hike during Spring Flood on Käkkälöjoki
With a friend we used the high water levels toward the tail of the spring flood, to hike up and row down Käkkälöjoki.

With a friend we took an old river boat to travel down Ounasjoki until the Käkkälöjoki estuary. After going up a few Kilometers Käkkälöjoki, where we visited a friend, we took the same route back: Down Käkkälöjoki and up Ounasjoki, back to Hetta.
