After spending about a week on glaciers, my friend and me camped at the blue lake in Tordalen to go for day hikes. One of these hikes brought us up to Jotunfonna. While having good weather conditions to hike up, ever stronger getting fog made us to abort the trip and head back down to the valley.

Exploring 79° North: Glacier Hike on Svalbard
End of July the weather forecast predicted more than 25° C in Lapland. Just in time to pack my backpack and head north. With a friend who lives on Svalbard we had planned to go on a multi-day glacier hike northwest of Pyramiden, at around 79° northern latitude.

No Skiing Anymore: A Short walk to Palosenjärvi
Usually at this time of the year I am going on my last skiing trip of the season. This year, however, the snow melted so early, that instead of skiing I went for a walk on the old skiing tracks.
